Kessa AUTHOR Steven Levenkron Summary é 104 KESSA is the compelling seuel to THE BEST LITTLE GIRL IN THE WORLD that can also be read independently Here again readers are drawn into the world of a teenage girl suffering from anorexia nervosa Kessa's character is strongly. Even worse than The Best Little Girl in the World Kessa is just pasted together text from the previous novel along with a preachy story about how a doctor can help the girl get back to the sunlight of realityOf course the girl couldn t overcome her illness herself That would be silly she s insane Only a caring selfless doctor could help her reach the light at the end of the tunnel No the fact that the author is a doctor hasn t contributed to this biased opinion at allIt was obvious blatantly in fact that Levenkron was trying to incorporate himself into his own fictional novel and that he was trying to make himself and his profession look self righteous So naturally this book was just a preachy outdated mentally ill people are psychos kind of book I think the only way to really understand what it s like to have anorexia nervosa and to recover from it would be to hear from a person who has actually gone through it
